    Description

Mechanical winding shaft, power through spring force!

Our mechanical-pneumatic winding shafts with a spring-force clamping system are designed for special requirements. With permanent spring force applied, a loss of clamping force is virtually impossible.
This winding shaft type is equipped with continuous clamping shells and is suitable for winding and unwinding narrow rolls in multi-width use and for clamping thin-walled and sensitive cores. The clamping shells, which bear over a large area against the core inner diameter (core ID), prevent deformation of the cores and, thanks to the quasi centric clamping, allow a contact roller to be applied.
With pneumatic actuation of the winding shaft, the reset of the clamping shell is activated and the roll change can be carried out.
Features such as a ball track system are available on request.

    Characteristics

    • Mechanical, clamping force generated by spring force
    • Mechanical centric expansion of the clamping rails based on the inclined-plane principle
    • Variably expanding clamping rails allow compensation of existing core tolerances in multi-width operation
    • Pneumatically activatable reset of the clamping system
    • carrier tube material: aluminium and steel

    Cores

    • from diameter 70–200 mm, made of cardboard, plastic or metal
