Our history
What began in 1995 with five employees is today an innovative company with over 40 specialists – reliable, customer-orientated and technically at the highest level.
The beginnings
Founded in February 1995 with just five dedicated employees, Spanntec has developed over the past decades into a powerful and reliable partner in the field of winding systems.
Our location in Bad Iburg
In October 2007, we moved into our current headquarters in Niedersachsenstraße in Bad Iburg – an important step to enable further growth. Two years later, in September 2009, the original Spanntec GmbH became Spanntec Wickelsysteme GmbH.
Today, with a team of 42 motivated employees, we stand for innovation, quality and customer proximity – and look forward to being successful together with you in the future.

With Spanntec SmartProducts and the Condition Monitoring System (CMS), we offer innovative solutions for digitalization and Industry 4.0: sensor integration, NFC tagging, real-time monitoring, maintenance alerts and data analysis via app or web interface. This allows you to keep an eye on processes such as pressure, speed, temperature or run times at all times – and sustainably increase efficiency.
